Historical Summary
For the last five years Queensbury Media Limited has been working with the UK’s best known Strongman, Glenn Ross, in promoting and producing the UK’s Strongest Man for Sky Sports.
For the first 2 years the event was aired around midnight, achieving a 13% share and up to 500,000 viewers. In 2006, 5 gave the show a prime time slot – 8pm on Friday 23rd December, where the show drew 1,500,000 viewers (7% share) and out rated TWI’s World’s Strongest Man Series. The winner, Glenn Ross (The Daddy), has subsequently made a number of mainstream media appearances including Harry Hill’s TV Burp Ant & Decs Saturday Night Takeaway and GMTV.
In 2010, the UK’s Strongest Man will once again be promoted by Queensbury Media and Glenn Ross’s Big G Promotions, followed in Spring 2008 by a new annual competitions for Europe’s Strongest Man as well as the inaugural ‘Master’s World’s Strongest Man’ featuring the recent legends of the sport.

• Last year brought another excellent 3 day event at the Tall Ships event.
• Filmed in locations and main venue around Belfast.
• Almost 10 million people viewed the 5x1 hour shows (last year repeated collectively 60 times)
• Marketing feedback came from all quarters – a write up in all local, national newspapers, interviews on radio and live news link for BBC Newsline.
• Competitors once again taste Northern Ireland hospitality to give a positive light and feedback of the province.
